The short version

Owella does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Data collection

Owella collects no personal information. No names, no emails, no phone numbers, no financial data, no usage analytics, no crash reports. Nothing leaves your device.

Camera access

If you choose to attach a receipt photo to an expense, Owella requests camera access. These photos are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to any server or shared with any third party.

Local storage

All your groups, expenses, balances, and settings are stored on your device using local storage. Owella does not use any cloud services, servers, or databases. If you delete the app, your data is permanently deleted.

Third-party services

Owella does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data processing services. There are no ads and no tracking pixels.

In-app purchases

Owella offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock premium features. This transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) according to their respective privacy policies. Owella itself does not process or store any payment information.

Children’s privacy

Owella does not knowingly collect any information from anyone of any age, including children under 13, as the app collects no data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is ever updated, the date at the top will be changed. Given that Owella collects no data, changes are unlikely.
